Privacy Policy

Effective August 17, 2026

Blurilliant is designed to help you manage your Mac workspace without turning your activity into a data product. This policy explains what information may be handled when you use the Blurilliant website, purchase the app, or use the app itself.

Information handled by the Mac app

Blurilliant uses macOS Accessibility permission to identify and control windows for features such as Focus, Workspaces, Quick Control, and window restoration. This can include app names, window titles, window positions, sizes, and visibility state.

Settings, workspace names, selected applications, website addresses, file paths, window-placement preferences, and license credentials are stored locally on your Mac. License credentials are protected using macOS Keychain.

This workspace information is processed locally to provide the features you request. Blurilliant does not upload window titles, document names, file contents, workspace contents, or usage analytics. It does not use Accessibility permission to read the contents of your documents or messages, and it does not record your screen.

Information collected through the website

When you visit the website, the hosting provider may automatically process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring sources, approximate location, and diagnostic or security logs. This information is used to deliver, protect, troubleshoot, and understand the general performance of the website.

The website host provides server-side, aggregate web analytics based on its content-delivery logs. These analytics may include page views, unique visitors based on IP addresses, popular pages, referring sources, approximate locations, bandwidth usage, and missing-page requests. This analytics service does not use client-side tracking code or analytics cookies. Blurilliant does not use advertising trackers or behavioral profiling and does not sell personal information.

Purchases and payments

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy may collect your name, email address, billing details, payment information, tax information, order history, and fraud-prevention data. Blurilliant does not receive your complete payment-card number.

Lemon Squeezy processes this information under its own privacy policy. Information made available to Blurilliant—such as your name, email address, country, purchase amount, order identifier, download status, and license information—may be used to fulfill your purchase, provide support, prevent abuse, and maintain transaction records.

License activation and validation

To activate, validate, or deactivate a license, Blurilliant sends the license key, a randomly generated device identifier, and a license-service identifier to Lemon Squeezy. This information is used to confirm the license and enforce its permitted activation limit.

The device identifier is not generated from your hardware serial number, Apple ID, username, email address, or Mac name. As with other internet requests, Lemon Squeezy may also receive standard network information such as your IP address. Lemon Squeezy handles this information under its own privacy policy.

Software updates

Blurilliant periodically checks Blurilliant’s secure update feed for software updates. Optional system profiling is disabled. The update host may receive standard network information, such as the IP address used to request the update feed.

Websites opened from Workspaces

When a Workspace contains a website, Blurilliant asks your default browser to open that address. The browser and destination website operate under their own privacy policies.

App analytics and tracking

Blurilliant does not include advertising, behavioral analytics, or third-party usage-tracking SDKs.

Support communications

If you contact Blurilliant for support, the information you provide may include your email address, message, app version, macOS version, screenshots, diagnostic details, and any attachments you choose to send. Please avoid sending confidential document contents or unrelated personal information.

How information is used

Sharing

Personal information is not sold. It may be shared with service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate the website, process payments, validate licenses, distribute and update the app, communicate with customers, or comply with law. Relevant providers may include the website host, update host, and Lemon Squeezy.

Retention and security

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including support, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and financial recordkeeping. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of personal information. Some transaction information may need to be retained for legal or accounting purposes. You may also contact Lemon Squeezy directly regarding information it controls.

Children

Blurilliant is not directed to children under 13, and personal information from children under 13 is not knowingly collected.

International processing

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their privacy practices and applicable safeguards are governed by their respective policies and applicable law.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Blurilliant evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, when appropriate, providing additional notice on the website.

Contact

Privacy questions or requests can be submitted by emailing hello@blurilliant.com. Customers may also use the support email address included in their purchase receipt or click Support in the Blurilliant app menu.

This policy describes the intended behavior of the current Blurilliant release. If a future feature changes how data is handled, the policy will be updated before that feature is released.
